About Silvina
Silvina is a graduate of Dartmouth College and a fourth-year medical student at Boston University School of Medicine. She was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and raised on Long Island, New York. As a former Psychology major, she is very interested in the patient-provider interaction and in conveying medical information in an accessible fashion. Her research efforts to date have focused on improving patients' quality-of-life. Also interested in preventative medicine, she is currently working with the Melanoma Foundation of New England to curtail the use of indoor tanning among adolescents and young adults. Academically, she is most interested in pediatric dermatology and cutaneous oncology. When she is not working or studying, she can be found running, practicing yoga, writing, or cooking.
